Great Wine for a Greener World
09 SONOMA COUNTY STEELHEAD SAUVIGNON BLANC

Tasting Notes
This refreshing wine is distinctly varietal with gooseberry and fresh-cut grass aromas and an essence of kiwi layered with crisp minerality on the palate. Flavors pull from the mid-palate through to the finish - a quintessential Sauvignon Blanc. Delicious paired with Brie and goat cheese, grilled fish, shellfish, pork and chicken.

Winemaking
100% cold stainless steel fermentation with no malolactic fermentation to preserve varietal character. A small portion spent time on the lees to build richness and texture.

Vineyards
2009 started off with a warmer, drier spring followed by a summer with average heat. Harvest concluded in late September producing evenly ripened grapes showing full concentration and balanced acid producing fruit with bright flavors.
